This workshop series will invite participants to explore the history and present of the Queens Public Library at Ridgewood. Through drawing, writing, photographs, interviews, and archival materials, participants will document the physical space, their experiences in it, and reflect on what the library means to them. Each session will introduce a new set of visual or conceptual materials to experiment and make artwork with. The work generated throughout the workshops will be collected and edited into a unique publication, which all participants will receive a copy of after the program concludes.
All ages welcome!
