Mastheads x Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts

What: Set of Six Artist Books (Edition of 100 each)

Through a series of workshops, Morningside Elementary students and Pittsfield Public High School students worked with Ari Wolff and Sarah Trudgeon, of The Mastheads, to develop material for a set of unique artist books. In March, Ari led a series of visual poetry and artmaking workshops, focused on generating work inspired by poems students had written with Sarah the month before.

In May, in partnership with the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, the books were risograph and Xerox printed, with letterpress covers, with the support of artist and MCLA student, Stephanie Trotto, who guest-designed the 6th book. In June 2025, the books were launched at The Mastheads annual Party in the Park and given to all the students who contributed. You can purchase the books here and read press about the project here.
